Floating

“Floating”

Floating in a

vat of froth,

This soil lies

dark and bubbly.

How vast the

Walls of wood,

How tall the

Towers of stone.

Holy men look

From parapet spires.

She bows once

To the Aboveness,

Wades into cattails,

Then hopes the

Straw she drew

Floats beyond fire.
